A vibraphone and marimba duo (with or without a rhythm section) performing compositions from a diverse repertoire. Selections include classic jazz standards by Ellington and Coltrane, Ed Saindon originals, adaptations from the classical repertoire, contemporary songs by Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, Pat Metheny as well as Brazilian classics by Carlos Jobim and others.
Both being keyboard mallet instruments, the vibraphone and marimba duo combination makes for a dazzling visual presentation in a concert. Each performer wielding 4 mallets at their instrument, the visual aspect is very compelling.
The combination of the metallic sound of the vibes along with the wooden sound of the rosewood marimba offers a pleasing and unique blend for audiences.
